Making it so when you click a sprite it takes you to another project or webpage

Re: Putting links in scratch

This has been proposed before, but rejected on the basis that it would be very difficult to moderate where those links sent you. It's hard enough to keep track of this on the forums, and adding the functionality to Scratch projects would lead to some major problems.

Re: Putting links in scratch

Hey Harakou,

Do you work for scratch? if you don't how do you become a community mod?
I can prove I don't spam or stuff if you have to prove stuff?

Thanks P110

P.S. I want to because I like to help people hence most of my posts.

Harakou doesn't necessarily "work" for Scratch, he just ran for the mod election and won! Mods are people who volunteer to moderate the forums  big_smile
And you become a mod by entering the mod election. If you win, you can be a mod! But you can't just enter the mod election, you have to have these requirements:
1. Age 13 or older
2. Has been on the site for at least six months
3. Has a history of being nice and helpful

Using good grammar and spelling wouldn't hurt, either. You should also be experienced with Scratch. If you are thinking about running, nobody knows the exact date of the election.

Re: Putting links in scratch

I believe that you should only be able to create links to other projects, the forums, etc. on the Scratch website. Then, viewing a magazine or something with a "Project of the Week" would be more enjoyable, because you wouldn't have to go to the notes for a link; you could just click on this sprite or something. That said, if the website that you want to link to ISN'T Scratch, when you try to upload your project, it'll say something like "Sorry, you can't post projects with a link to anything other than Scratch on Scratch."
This makes my answer: No, unless it won't link outside of Scratch.

Re: Putting links in scratch

This would be helpful if you were linking to another project of yours or something, but it would also be a spammer's dream, unfortunately.
