ratings

I think scratch members should be able to rate videos. What I mean is, you should be able to pick a number of stars out of five. kind of like rating a YouTube video. Do you think that it's possible? I'm sure everyone on scratch would love it.  wink

Re: ratings

It's possible. Any ideas on where the rating would go?

Re: ratings

MrBananas: we didn't like the idea of ratings because we feel it might discourage beginners from sharing their work. I have seen people posting comments on advanced features projects things like "I am never going to be able to do something like this". If people get low ratings, don't you think they might feel sad and never try programming again?  Besides school is all about ratings, maybe this is a place where everyone shares their creations without feeling they are being rated. If someone likes your project they can leave a comment, love it or add it to their favorites.

What do you think?

Re: ratings

Andresmh, you are kind of right.  Ratings could make Scratch newcomers feel discouraged. But ratings could be pretty cool. If my project was given a low rating, I would want to try harder to make a great video.
