Like on the main site You have _ messages..
Why don't we have that on the forums?
Well if you wanted honesty, that's all you had to say. I never want to let you down or have you go, it's better off this way.

because how would that work?
would you get messeges from anyone who quoted you or just on your forums?
also do you even need a message thing on forums?

Clank: It would be easy to have it added. If I understand Alternatives correctly, s/he wants the "You have # messages" on the main site showing while you open up the forums.
Alternatives: I'm pretty sure there is another topic somewhere in the forums about it, but I'm not sure if it was ever answered.
