3 stories to prove how smart Americans really are:
Today, my sister told me that she had told at least five people that she really liked Irish rock music. All but one asked how she could understand the words.
A whle back, my mom was talking to someone about my older brother and about what he was doing in Kenya. She talked about all the preparations he had to make and such. The person she was talking to then said something along the lines of, "Oh, so he must have had to go a long way away." To which my mom responded, "Yes, he went to Kenya. It's in Africa." "Oh...I did not know that," was the response.
Couple of months ago in Reader's Digest there was a Life (joke section) story. A woman was reading a report on the average intelligence of each state relative to the others. She lived in California, which was ranked 47. She said to her husband, "Can you believe that? We're number 47 out of 52!"
Sigh...is there no hope for this country?!?!
Discuss moments of absurd density and if you think mankind can survive it's worst enemy: itself.

Not all americans are that way.
Lots of hope. Lots don't.
Life happens that way...

In canada...This lady on TV was trying to advertise bathroom cleaning gloves where the edge around the hole where you stuck your hand in folded up, so when you were done scrubbing the toilet, when you took your hand out of it the 'rim' would catch all the water that would otherwise drip down your arm. Why couldn't you just fold up the edge around a pair of dollar store gloves?

No. None at all, the way things are currently going. It's unfortunate.
I think all of humanity is like that, and that someday, it'll be our downfall. Oh well

This one kid (in America) said that we should forget about the Japan earthquake and protect ourselves from the radiation coming over here (which didn't do anything). He then said that "we brave Americans" had to die because of Japan's "idiocy", and he told anyone who disagreed with him to "get out of the country".
._. Smart people we're raising here.

Actually, Missouri (where I am) was rated 25th. Kentucky was 34th. The average IQ here is 1.4 higher than where you are.

WOW. You know, that radiation hasn't even killed anyone yet. Any other resource that got hit by that would probably have exploded or released tons of greenhouse gases. It's really sad that we're worried about the radiation poisoning here when, if it were actually dangerous, all of Japan would be, like, already dead.

So, what are you guys trying to imply? That people from Missouri are smarter than Californians?

There was also this other kid who called someone who disagreed with him "an inbred poophole". He then said that he was "a disgrace to us proud Americans". Followed by an über-partiotic "God bless America". I just simply replied "I'm an American, and I disapprove of this message" like the Obama/McCain commercials. That got him.
@MrMokey: No, wiimaster is also.

The poll's top three results were:
Florida

And below, it said "97 more"

This proves how smart several American individuals are.

I think the reason of the low IQ's is because the new generations are starting not to listen at all in school, to busy trying to make their life to be dramatic or like the cliche highschool movie/series things, or at least some kids. It's quite irritating. I think it's because some parents say cartoons rot your brains, some kids can be devious word twisters, it's not funny. I might not be making sense currently so I'll stop typing now...

Humans.
They are ignorant and arrogant.
Disgusting creatures, no?
Pff... though Minnesota was 13th >.>
