Idea: Remove ghost effect.
Description: Please remove the ghost effect. Why? Well, 24bit computers have a 1bit transparency mask and therefore 24bit computers can't display the ghost effect correctly.

NO!
So if I was using a 24bit setting and use the ghost feature, it appears just lighter?

I don't know I never used a 24bit setting

So we should remove the ghost effect entirely just because a very specific computer setting can't display it correctly? I fail to see the logic in that, sorry.

Yeah, it's like saying we have to remove all the peanuts in the world just because some people are allergic to them.
Some people like peanuts.

The ghost effect isn't leaving anytime soon. Maybe in the year ∞.

+1 And it wouldn't help with that setting at all, it would just stop everyone from using it properly.

No. I use the ghost effect a lot in my projects, and if it's bothering you, get a 32bit instead of a 24bit.

No one has 24bit computers anymore!

That's too absolute.
He probably does.
@rdococ-I suggest Scratch removes the online player and stuff, you know why?
Because it doesn't work on my iPhone.
Does that seem like a good suggestion to you?
It's what you're doing.

Because it doesn't work on my iPhone.

I see your point, but many projects rely on the ghost effect. It allows a sprite to be invisible and still work. good Idea, though! If you want to make something invisible with out the ghost blocks, you can use Show and Hide blocks instead.
<show> <hide>

Rather than removing the ghost effect - maybe it would make more sense to find a way to render it better when color is set to 24 bits (if that is possible)? Why don't you report it under troubleshooting, with a link to a good example project?
I'll close this topic as removing such a useful and widely-used feature is almost certainly not going to happen.
