It's going to be a GBA file. You need to download it and run it in the Visual Boy Advance Emulator.

Actually, I'm very new to the programming of hacking (please don't hate me for this) but I can design some VERY good pokemon games. I was hoping that possibly I could hire (for free) some people to do the programming. I would do the design, some programming, and the graphical images. I am very good at programming and it's my favorite thing to do, but I don't believe I could become good at pokemon hacking programming without some time. Does anyone know how and willing to teach me?

By the way, with my limited hacking skills, this game may take 2 years at a minimum...but the end result will have a great storyline and a great pokedex too.
Well, first....I need to get past this stupid charter thing, so I can get you the site I have bookmarked for my scripting needs....it isn't working. PKMN Hackers Online is the name however.
Look around, see what you find. Look for XSE, best program for any scripting for the game.
If you can find that, I'll see if I can remember to update my DB files to include my hack.

I'm focusing on all types-none in particular. I want to make this game as real as possible

Agreed, it shouldn't just focus on certain types.
I really want to see that moonfish D:
Maybe it could have a sunfish counterpart

Maybe...
Oh, I almost forgot. I created a new weather, Thunderstorm, along with an ability that summons one when it's sent out into battle, Storm Watch. Every turn (like a sandstrom or hail) both pokemon will be struck by lightning. It's very weak and only ground and electric types resist it. Electric attacks also have 25 more power under a Thunderstorm. Thunder's accuracy is increased just like when in rain but greater.
What do you think?

How could it be greater? In rain, Thunder is increased to 100%!

Making it so accuracy changes don't affect it?

banana500: This is going to be a completely serious hack, so nothing of that sort.
Oh, I forgot Thunder was 100 accuracy. I was thinking about CompoundEyes Galvantula * 98%...

Somehow, this should be in the normal games. So should snow. And all of the others.
Why can't I find a list of all the weather effects from Mystery Dungeon? They (and you) should try incorporate them all in the normal trainer ones.

There should be a weather that lowers speed of pokemon that are not a certain type. It also lowers evasion. Snowstorm? No, there's already hail. Any ideas?

I have a list of all of the Mystery Dungeon weather effects. I can give them to you:
Clear
Cloudy
Fog
Hail
Rain
Sandstorm
Snow
Sunny
There. Helps?

Snow is too much like hail, but Cloudy could have some use...do you know it's effect in Mystery Dungeon?

Well, I played around with my hack. I forgot how huge I mapped it. And how much work I put into said huge maps. And how much work I have to do.

That's all of the weather effects for Mystery Dungeon. Well, at least for Mystery Dungeon 2. Maybe they removed some from Mystery Dungeon 1. IDK, haven't played them in a while.
