Nasty comments that include swears, curses, or anything just plain mean should be reported. Then you should block whoever did it.

That's right! Or, you could just simply delete the comments if it isn't too bad, but reporting and deleting all works. If the user continuously posts bad comments, etc, this should be contacted to the Scratch Team. Just my input in here, too. Scratch on!

Or, just say "report" at the bottom of that very comment...
:lol

Flag, do NOT start an argument, that will just get you flagged, too.

Simply flag it.

What should be done if someone comments not-so-nicely, more than once on your projects? Would the not-so-nice person be kicked out of Scratch? There are a few people who are not very nice in their comments.
Report the comment to the scratch team but don't respond to it.

Flag them. If they're really bad, report them to the Scratch team with Contact Us and they might get banned.

You can now also choose to ignore any user by adding their user name to your "Ignore List" in your my stuff page - this will change the settings so you never have to see any comments from this user on your projects or galleries.
Enjoy!
You can ignore the user but i dont think the ignore list is a good idea because if you ignore someone, you cant see their comments or projects so you cant tell if theyre spreading rumors about you. ignoring the problem doesnt solve it. it just makes it keep going on. this cop went into my class once to teach life skills and he talked about confrontation, avoidance, and problem solving. he said problem solving has to be used 98% of the time and the others each 1%. confrontation is when a scratcher writes a mean reply to a troll but both scratchers end up banned. Avoidance is when you add someone to ignore list but that doesnt solve the problem and that increases their power of spreading rumors behind your back. problem solving is when you ask why they are being mean to them or in extreme cases, flag them.

I know how you feel... In real life, not on scratch.

Thanks, everyone! Now I know what to do when someone puts a mean comment on one of my projects

Click "Flag as inappropriate". Or maybe tell them that its not nice. And if people do a bunch of mean comments, maybe you should lock commenting on your project.

First, remove the comment. Then, tell the Scratch Team exactly what that mean person said. Try to to write, "OMG!!!!! THIS PERSON WAS MEEEEEAAAAN TO MEEEE! BAN THEM!" you'll sound really immature. Then, put that user on your ignore list. Don't want anymore mean comments! Also, try not to make a project all about this person who is being mean to you, insulting them and telling people to be mean to them (No matter how mean they are). Chances are, if you're not already blocking them, they'll just keep writing mean comments and being more hurtful. Or, if they are, they'll probably tell they're friends to be mean to you. Plus, that's just being mean right back and probably equally as hurtful as what they are doing to you.
Hope this helps!
