Importing a Project Glitch!

Most of the time when i import a project into scratch with another project. The varibles don't seem to work after (maybe) the first time. the varibles are still there but you have to take them out and put them back in to work again,

Yes! That happens to me also. It is very hectic having to take out and put back in. I have tried re-downloading scratch, but that doesn't work also. The booleans that include variable blocks also don't work.
