Odd. I have absolutely no Iron, it's frustrating, lol.

What did you use it for?
Ways to find:
Coal - Surface Caves
Iron - BIGGGGG caves
Redstone and Lapis - Just build things underground and you'll find it.
Gold - Far down caves
Diamond - mining close to bedrock
Obsidian - Make it yourself

Well, on my now main save (with the Glacier seed methinks) I found like 44 iron in only one cave. I'll use it for armor I guess.

Save the iron. I have an entire stack that I save so that later, I can feel free to use it whenever.

>__< I know, isn't it annoying? One time, a creeper jumped out of an unlit tree into our safe protective walls. I didn't get out of the way fast enough, and the creeper blew up the walkway my brother had made. ಥ__ಥ I started filling the cobblestone in, but I was missing about three or four pieces. I went to tell him and he fixed it. You know, I reallllllllllly want a tamable creeper right about now... xD
How would you do it? Hit it with tnt?
That would probably be the way to do it. That would be awesome if you could. I can picture a creeper about to explode, and then the little hearts appear above its head and its frown becomes a smile.. xDD That would be epically funny.

Yeah, good idea. I found even more now so I have nearly a full stack, and also 15 Lapiz Lazuli from the same cave.

Someone please help! Ever since the 1.4 update, the download client crashes after a minute or so. I can play online just fine, but I prefer to use the download.
Edit: I've already tried downloading the client again, so don't bother telling me that...

Weeeeeel....
Diamond isn't necessarily near bedrock alone...
It's normally also near lava. So be careful, and never mine diamond from below. I learned this the hard way.

Er... anyways, I just can't- or couldn't- find any Iron until last night when I dug into a massive cavern... massive I say. There's in all about 25 different branches of it. I found 82... eighty-two blocks of Iron ore, 17 Gold, 5 more Obsidian, 60 Redstone, 24 Lapiz Lazuli and I passed some Diamond that I'll go get later, well, after I find a way out of this endless, lagging branch that I've trapped myself in... anxiety, eh.

Aslong as you're careful mineupward, make a shaft. Thats what I do if I'm lost.
Also, I found something quite funny yesterday, I was heading home from doing some exploring in the woods next to my home. I have five tammed wolves at the moment. I saw a chicken, so I take my bow and shoot it, just incase I miss with the first, I shoot a second arrow. I move forwards, the second arrow bounces off the dead chickens body, as they do... and hits me, my dogs "go ninja" on me and since I'm wearing diamond armour I survive, I make them all sit, but for some funny reason they keep attacking, ever seen a bouncing sitting wolf? XD So I'm running from sitting bouncing wolves. I just saved and came back, they were all happy with me again.

Oh darn. You can make them happy again?
lol I was coming up from mining and my wolf was outside the door sitting, so I was trying to right click him to make him stand up, but apparently I left clicked him, hitting him with my pick and he went crazy.
I put him down and made him a grave.

No, Diamond is ALWAYS less than 18ish blocks away from bedrock.

Ooh... that looks really nice.
Yeah, Diamond is common 10-17 blocks above Bedrock.

I don't know if it would work in the event, they were ust being rpotective of their owner because I had in a sense been attacked, by my own arrow, but you hit your wolf so it might be different, one good way to make them happy again might be to give it a bone or maybe some fish or pork. They do eat fish I found out...

Yeah... I wish I would've know that...
Anyways, HURRAH, I've escaped the cavern. It was pretty fun. And lame. There was only 2 diamonds in there -.-
Apparently, I had made some stairs to the exit near some lava, so I never check there last night.
