Hello scratchers, this is DG Games founder ChaoticD. I have previously announced JDI Prologue to be releasing on April 30th, however for any of you who don't know anything about it, I created this topic.
Judgement Day Independence Prologue is a Science Fiction Rail Shooter presenting fast and intense gameplay in a 2D/3D perspective (DG3D). Resume the role of a soldier surviving the devastation of Earth after nuclear weapons ravage the planet. Tasked to attack Unity City, the last safe haven and the reason for the destruction of earth, you will fight alongside The Cyclone, a terrorist organization and faction against Unity. Bite the bullets as you experience a game like no other and find yourself trying to decipher friend from foe.
This project shows a new step in scratch story telling, scratch game design (seeing as it works online), and a new direction for art and a 3d perspective. However DG Games is only "Scratching" the surface of the program. so many others in scratch have made outstanding projects that im sure surpass my JDI and you can be one of those. Keep working at it.
As for DG3D, DG3D is a scratch art design concept i developed to help create detailed 3D perspectives in 2D. With a 3D looking grid to build upon i designed, you edit each step of the grid with lines depicting the basic walls. Without filling in the walls, measure the spacing between grid sections and using the 4 grid backgrounds, create all of them with the same basic wall shape. once done, create extra sprites outside of the backgrounds and import them into each background in the same section of the grid on all 4 ect. once done repeat until you have added all of your extra sprites. last, fill in all of the walls in the backgrounds and you have a really great looking 3D perspective. i will be releasing a tutorial next month.
Lastly, if you are interested in the game, check out the dg-games.com website to find out more information. I would really appreciate you to comment in the forums your questions and concerns at dg-games.com seeing as i recently remade the forums there for you and others to comment in. i would really like to get a community started on my forums.
Thanks, check out my scratch page for a quick look at the intro to JDI coming to scratch april 30th. thank you.
