When someone quotes your post it tells you in your messages
I think it would be a good idea (and I bet a lot of other scratchers would too) to get notified in your messages if scratchers quote your post or if someone writes a post on your topic. I always want to know if someone writes to me because I'd like to know
what they told me and if I can reply to them or whatever the situation happens to
be.

Actually, this has been suggested before. By me. It was unapproved because lots of times many people will reply to you, and this would slow the message server down even more than is already is.
Retired from Scratch, but just the language itself. Not the forums.

People could quote him tons of times and he would receive messages tons of times.
