I think scratch should have script buddies, a special sprite that hides in the scripts section. This guy will show you around the scripts and will say different things acordin to what you do in the scripts eg: when script 1 is dragged say You shouldn't do that or when up arrow key pressed point toward arrow keys.

whats with the addiction of mario, sure its a great game and all, but its getting out of hand in my opinion... Anyways, it could be i nice adition for newcomers to have a basic 'script buddy' that replaces the help menu. Please just make a option to switch it off because it could get anoying after a while
