Emergency! Text Doesn't Work!!!

I was working on my projects... When something AWFUL happened...
Text fonts turned into... NORMAL FONTS! And they're horrible!
How I fix this disaster?
Help me... Or BYE BYE MY PROJECTS!!!

Do you mean that your font changed to a font that you were not happy with?  Was it a project originally developed under 1.2.1 or earlier?  Because that can be a problem with older projects...when you edit costumes in 1.3, the old fonts (which are no longer available) get replaced by some default font from the fonts installed on your computer.

I wonder what happens to projects that are developed on one computer (with one set of fonts) then moved to another computer (with another set of fonts).  I suspect that might cause problems too.  But I don't know for sure.

Texts in costumes are stored internally both as strings and fonts and as bitmaps. Therefore texts are acutally supposed to look the same on any system regardless of the availability of the original font. Only when editing the text box of a costume the font needs to be accessed. In this case Scratch is supposed to find another font which most closely resembles the original one, or - if none is found - replace the original font with an internal one (I believe Helvetica bold).
