Okay, before you go any further to say, "...because their creepy," pay attention to this.
I've heard many people say that they hate Teletubbies or they just don't like it. Yeah, I have no problem with because I hate a lot of other things on TV, too. Only thing I'm upset about, everyone keeps saying it over and over again, even going to the point to calling it a "horror movie". I mean, what the heck? It seems too me that people just have problems with it a bit too much. It's sadly underrated, misunderstood, and everyone thinks that the Teletubbies are "babbling morons". Well, I was just recently scrolling through the reviews for Teletubbies on IMDB. According to its rating of 2.8, which is pretty much sad, only a quarter of the people their "loved it". Most of them hated it. However, while I was scrolling through some of the "love it" reviews, I found one good one in particular. Here's what they said:
"I admit it, I am 17, but I loved this when I was a kid. Loved, loved, loved it! I thought it was really cute, and I still do. I think people need to bear in mind this is a show for preschoolers, and not only did me and my siblings love this when we were kids, but we have close friends that love it too. And I do not think it is the worst kids show ever, that belongs to Shaggy and Scooby Doo:Get a Clue, that is unwatchable. I admit that this show isn't really educational, but as I have said already it's cute. And what's this about the characters not speaking properly? True, they don't, but none of the characters on Pingu speak properly and I don't see anybody bashing that show. Don't get me wrong, I ADORE Pingu, all I am trying to say is that Teletubbies isn't the first show to have characters that don't speak properly. Not only does the baby sun look sweet, but I never got nightmares from watching this. Teletubbies looks colourful, and the characters are cute, especially Po. The music is nice too. All in all, good misunderstood fun for preschoolers."
Whoever this person is has a good point because I bet if the world was run by Teletubbies (which may sound kinda creepy), they would all think we're the "babbling morons" because they can't understand us. It's like an American guy coming up to a Chinese guy and teasing because supposedly all he speaks is "Ching Chang Chong". Well, it may seem like that too you, but it's a lot more complicated than that, somewhat similar to your fellow English language and pretty much all the languages in the world. Another thing that I find irritating, is that a lot of people say that they have nightmares about it, and say they hated it even when they were a baby. First of all, let me get this straight, you don't know that because you hardly remember anything when you were a baby. Also, babies don't really develop hatred towards things at an early age. I'm not saying they don't have feelings. In fact, they may have more feelings than we ever can. Yeah, they might get upset every once in awhile because so and so did this or that, but they don't form a deep grudge against that person. If so, you have one angry baby.
Anyways, point is, I liked Teletubbies, which is why I'm upset with this generation talking badly about one of my favorite childhood shows. I always found them to be interesting, if not educational, with their everyday antics. Roaming around freely in the grassy hills, eating tubby toast and tubby custard, just doing what they like to do (like us). Is there anything wrong with that?
I know this might seem like a weird topic to start, and I already started something similar to it before, but it's regarding why people shouldn't hate on them too much this time. Anyways, if any of you agree, tell me so and tell me why. I'd highly appreciate your opinion on this matter.
(
I can't believe I have the time to type all this!)

Well, good for you, but I didn't post this topic for haters. Sorry, it's the way it is.
I know we're not 2 anymore, but, what I'm trying to get at, is people really have to stop talking so badly about it. It doesn't matter what age you are, we don't all have to start making fun of it. I mean, it's a baby show for goodness sake, not something for anyone over 7. I would understand people talking badly about it if it were geared towards teenagers, but it's not, so that's what I'm trying to say.

I agree whole heartedly. I LOOOOVED it while I was 3-5, but I grew out of it. Just as I used to like dinosaurs, I don't like them anymore, though I don't hate them.
EDIT: And there is a little grammar fixing that needs to be done in there...

Yeah, I know, I'm not the best at grammar, but I'm not bad. I remember a kid in my old school used to write big on the notebook paper lines, just so he can finish faster. But, hey, who am I to judge? I've failed epically on other things. Also, I've liked dinosaurs ever since I was 3 or 5, and I still do.

"Poorly underrated?" What?
That aside, I don't hate it, I'm just way, way, WAY out of the target age for it.
Yes, you heard me, they are underrated. Trust me, I think they deserve better ratings... Everyone hates them.

Well, let's face it. It doesn't exactly teach anything or have much content...

I know it doesn't (I said that in my article, if you didn't read it), but, again, I'm just saying people should give more respect to it. The people who made it worked hard on it, and I just don't like it when shows are downgraded so much by the public... I hate Fanboy and Chum Chum, but, every once in awhile, I feel sorry for it because it's like they did it for nothing. However, hey, you make a poopy show, you get poopy ratings.

Why do you like them so much. They're just some random creatures in a show. And the producers and stuff don't care if there are haters.

When you were 3 years old, did you watch the lion and the bear? It freaked out everyone I know when they were toddlers.

I was more commenting on your grammar. You say "Horribly underrated," or something akin to that. "Poorly underrated" doesn't work.

Well, good for you, I'm just saying (I've sad this so many times!) that I hate it when people say they're creepy. Why are you so against me, huh? Gosh.

In some cases, but can we please stop talking about my grammar? Back to the subject, you guys!

Also, you don't know that... Ragdoll ™ filed a copyright claim and wanted to close an anti-Teletubbies site...

Nope, never heard of it. Judging by what you said, I'd rather not.

Again, back to subject, but I realize that doesn't really work well because, in other words, I'm saying it should be more underrated, which is the complete opposite of what I'm trying to explain. Anyways, thank for pointing that out for me!
