What I do to collect bones is just wait inside my house until there is direct sunlight, then I venture through the woods and fight the burning monsters, or just leave them to take enough burn damage to die and drop their items.

It's much more safe, yet less efficient, than actually fighting them head-to-head.

I just found my first dungeon: see?



I used the usual surround with torches strategy, since spawners follow the lighting rule.
I got some food, some iron, and some other tools from the chest.

The dungeon was also very close to the surface, which I know is really rare. At first, I thought some zombies just didn't die in the light, but more and more kept coming. Then, I see mossy rock. I know there is only that type of rock in dungeons, so I bolted in, pulled out some torches, grabbed the treasure and ran.

I can't wait till MPS lets me connect again so i can scare someone with my creeper skin. Then I will hunt for gunpowder.

I actually carved my house into a mountain, so it's like a cave, so I don't run the risk of my Flint and Steel lighting it on fire... Though I do have a little cabin and whatnot.

I've wanted to build a fireplace for sometime now but I can't find any clay as of the moment.

Yes I did.

I found a saddle too. I will use it later, after I leave my island home to hunt. First I must build a tall water beacon in case I get lost. I will try not to go too far. Lava beacons don't work well for me, because I often don't find much lava, and me and lava don't get along. I dated lava's ex.

Nah lava lights me on fire a lot though.

The nethers not that great. I suggest you make diamond pick axes and shovels

I haven't even found diamond yet! 

I've gotten tons of iron, only three blocks of gold (I made a pickaxe out of it), and so much cobblestone you can't even imagine, I've hit lava, come across obsidian, lapis lazuli, and redstone. Yet I still haven't found any diamond.

I was on the search for some diamonds. Let me tell you just what I've seen...
