oh yeah
my old border collied died. :'(
but she was pretty epic, long life span, adopted off the side of the road.

Try get a bunch of baby gates. You should get a shi-poo. Shi-tzu/poodle.

A few things dont agree with your list.
1. Very playful as a puppy
2. When mine gets stressed or hot (in the car, at the vet) he drools. Not much. just a drop every few seconds.
Other than that they're great. They're small, easy to groom, energetic, and are great with all ages.

Australian Shepherd or American Bulldog. I have an American Bulldog American Bulldogs don't actually drool a lot, that's English Bulldogs, and there's two types, Johnson and something-else. One is really big but another one is not that big. My dog is the smaller kind, he is four years old and about 100 pounds, which is not extremely big considering Mastiffs and Great Danes and St. Bernards. They're social with people and other dogs, and they're really friendly but not super hyper all the time. They have short fur and are pretty smart.
