How do i make a sillouette of a character

something like the scratch default avatar IN GIMP PLEASE!!!!

Just open Scratch paint and use the fill bucket tool to color it all black.

Hmm... I don't use GIMP, but I would imagine you would select the area and fill it in. If there is a "replace color" function in GIMP, that works.

Or, in Scratch, just set "brightness" to 0.
