It's sad how classical music is deprived these days and less recognized. River Flows in Me is excellent, but it's somehow less known than Lady Gaga's songs. Nevertheless, pop songs are cool though.  smile

Nothing to do with punk, but okay.

To me, punk is sort of like pop songs. Sorry.

Pop-punk is.

But pure punk rock sounds nothing like pop music.

I like punk stuff. I'm a big punk myself. I love the clothing style, mixing black with color, and you can stand out. Another thing that I like about punk is that it's probably the most expressive style you can get. (Sure, goth is expressive, but not really positively.) One band I really like is the Dandy Warhols. They are SOOOOOOOO cool. They're pretty unknown, but if you search them on youtube, I bet you'd like some of their stuff. I also like Bon Jovi and Green Day, but do those count as punk bands? Well, the point is, I like either punk or really hard rock. I think I'll sing Livin' on a Prayer for the school talent show.  tongue

Bon Jovi is classic rock, not punk. Green Day though, are responsible for bringing punk to the mainstream, so they are definitely punk.

i'm pretty sure classic rock isn't a real genre

i mean it's like a type of music sure but it isn't a genre i think

and anyway yeah
i like green day and blink 182

does paramore count?
they call themselves punk but i don't know there are way too many genres these days to keep track of

but as you can tell by my signature i'm a bigger fan of rock c:

Paramore is pop-punk, so yes they count.

Punk is a subgenre of rock.

Re: Punk! =D

I don't really care what genre a song is as long as it has a good tune.

ummmm...

White Stripes isn't really punk.
They're alternative, being kind of a meld between blues and punk, but not really punk...
