Come on. The Mayans most likely ran out of paper when making their calender.

The only thing that will happen on December 21st 2012 is that the 2012 movie will have finally sold 3 copies.

Im not too worried about 2012... The only information i am allowed to give out is that 2012 is defiantly coming after 2011(joke)

How is that funny? I see nothing funny here. They really did run out of paper.[/lamejoke]
December 21st, 2012 isn't going to happen...the destruction of the world part of it anyway.
I'd rather be more afraid of Ragnaki....however the heck that's spelled. No wait...that's not the end of time....I forgot what it was called. Whatever, the end of the world isn't going to be for a long time, no matter which way you look at it.

A. 2012 is the incorrect date. B. Modern Mayan descendants claim through oral tradition that the calender's end has nothing to do with the end of the world. C. The actual calender itself in no way mentions the end of the world, it simply ends at an unspecified date. D. There is no factual evidence that it is the end of the world.
Of course human life on Earth will probably end sooner or later due to nuclear war or some other artificial means, but that will probably not happen for quite a long time.
The maximum amount of time we have is still 5 billion years when our sun becomes a Red Giant, but obviously you need not worry about that.

And if the world ended it would end. I wouldn't worry unless you fear God because there's nothing you could do about it.

Don't be scared. I was a little worried too-but then my friend (who's really smart) told me that people had the same hysteria in 2000 and sometime in the 20th century (I forget when) And nothing blew up. It's just a calender, so I doubt a calender would cause the world to explode.

Yeah, it's just the end of the calendar, not the world

Among the "doomsdays" people have predicted in recent history:
1984
1992
1999
2000
2003
2006
2011
and now 2012.
So let's all sit back and just accept that no one can predict doomsday correctly.

What's so special about 1984, 1992, 03, 06, and 2011? I know what the others signify.

1984: Something numerology related
1992: Rumors and fear about Halley's Comet flying close to earth
2003: Initially predicted date of the 2012 events
2006: 6/6/06
2011: May 21 (look it up, it's related to the bible)

Ah, so many ways the world can be destroyed.

Actually it has nothing to do with the bible, besides some guy thinking the bible predicts the end of the world.
