How long does it take to become a scratcher... I have been active on forums and commenting on a lot of projects that I like, but I still haven't become scratcher. About how long does it take?

Well, I think you need to be even more active and becoming a Scratcher takes a while. It obviously depends on the amount of time on Scratch. Just try being more active. It will take perhaps weeks until you become a Scratcher. Good luck, and don't give up! Scratch on.

Yeah, try reaching toward a goal of 100 posts, soon.

really 100 posts? That would make no sense lol. I saw a guy who was a scratcher yet he had three posts on the forums. He probably did a lot of other stuff for scratch.

There's really no set limit, you could become a Scratcher with only a handful or so posts. The more important part is activity - just remain fairly active on both the forums and the main site and you should become Scratcher soon enough.

No, that was just an estimate, but there's no post amount to be a Scratcher. Just be active on the main site, too.

You know, this is one of the most used topics in the Scratch Fourms New Member sections; someone needs to fix it.

The info about it is found in the guidelines for the New Scratch members forum. I'm wondering if New Scratchers bother to read that info first before becoming frazzled about why they can't be able to do certain things.

It doesn't look like you've shared any projects yet. Why don't you see what you can make with Scratch? Kind of hard to consider yourself a Scratcher if you haven't Scratched, right?

Maybe they should give a link that links to the Scratch Wiki article about the New Scratcher Status when new Scratchers see the "error message"?
EDIT (2011-03-28 12:33 EDT): Fixed a spelling mistake.

I wish that it was like ROBLOX.com where everyone had to wait only like 10-15 seconds and you don't need to be active at all. I got a project on the front page but still no Scratcher title.

You will become a Scratcher sometime. Keep on posting, and visiting the forums, and you will become a Scratcher.
And, don't forget to be active on the main site, too. Many usually forget to do that. Good luck!
