I have been browsing scratch games lately and I see that many are virtually the same. Just a platform game, with lots of comments saying that it's great because it took 4687 hours to make. Quality, not quantity, guys! I could provide some examples but I don't want to insult anybody.
So, as a parody, I am going to make the most stereotypical platformer game. The problem is that I can't use scratch for my life. So this will have to be a collaboration.
Anybody want to join?

what about a boss you kill hitting three times on a weak point, that sounds like a parody-worthy cliche for me tongue

Okay! So here's my outline:
Level One to Level Nine:
An extremely bland environment marked "LEVEL [#]" in black and white. To win, all you have to do is advance right across an entirely flat surface to door. There is a changing sequence of platforms above you that you can jump around, none of any significance.
Boss:
An extremely bland square thingy. Hit it three times to beat it. If you fall in the red thingamajig you die. However, the red thingamajig is unreachable.

rofl have a look at my watter boy its a platformer game thats completely awsome but what u never see is a platform that moves the screen up and down, why not make a platformer game that u have to reach the top instead of the right or left,
i can join, but im in the middle of making a epic game atm but when im finished i can help should only take me another 3-4 days if i work hard,
im an excilent grafic and scripter ive been useing scratch for almost a year now and i have the mind of reading scratch projects i can get awsom sound effects and animations/ bosses if u need just give me a comment on my project cos i dont read these half the time sad
