I remember. I can't reopen the thread, however.
But just because the thread is closed doesn't mean the story is stopped (I believe I left some suggestions in your other thread regarding on how to continue your fan fiction here on Scratch).

Hi
I am interested in developing software for teach mathematics/science to kids
using the graphical and interactive nature of computers. I am particularly
interested be being able to teaching a subject at a lower grade when this
becomes possible because of the computers capabilities.
Scratch looks very good for this sort of thing.
One thing I want to be able to do, however. is create my own set of commands.
In order to teach a given algorithm to kids I want a selection of tools specific
to that algorithm. I could do this by creating my own version of scratch for each
algorithm but I would prefer if I could upload my version of scratch as a project that can be loaded into scratch.

You can try BYOB, but that cannot upload to the Scratch site.

Welcome to the New Scratch Members forum!
The New Scratch Members Forum is a place where new members introduce themselves and become familiar with some of the different areas of the Scratch Forums.
We invite you to make your own introductory post here if you want - maybe tell us what you hope to do with Scratch, or about some of your interests. Or, ask a question you might have about Scratch or the forums.
Please save posts about non-Scratch stuff for the Miscellaneous forum, which you will be able to use once you graduate from "New Scratcher" to "Scratcher".
Also, please don't use the forums for chatting - there are better sites for that outside of Scratch.
For more information, please take a look at the Important and Helpful Topics guide - it will show you a lot of useful stuff.
Take a look around and I hope you have a great time - Scratch on!
Sorry Scratch Team.

Do you mean you want to make a project, or make a project like Scratch, e.g. a programming language in a programming language?

I assume you would have to make more posts than that, because I'm not a scratcher at the time of writing.

You'll probably want to be more active on the main site and the forums. Changing is partially time dependent, but activity (such as uploading projects and posting helpful comments in the forums) is the main factor for change.
