What does youtube use?

Flash? Java?

I'm just curious. The I-Phone doesn't use flash or java (I think it doesn't use java, it might) and I wanted to know if there really needs to be a special youtube app for viewing videos  tongue
Also, if there's an app that lets you use flash or java let me know!

Thanks  big_smile

Re: What does youtube use?

Flash, eh? Try Skyfire Web Browser ($3.99 when I got it). Most any flash video will work. However, that's all your limited to. Flash video.

Haven't seen anything for Java yet.

Re: What does youtube use?

YouTube uses a Flash player, but the videos are in many different formats. The player just interprets them.
