I have seen numerous topics lately about the song "Friday" by Rebecca Black, and there are some mean comments in there. We should all stop, because now Rebecca is getting messages like "Go cut yourself" and "I hope you jump off a building and die". We shouldn't contribute to that! In fact, it's not exactly her fault the song is bad. First of all, she didn't write the lyrics, some other people did. As she said in an interview, "I just sang it as they wrote it." and she didn't use Autotune, those people at the recording company used it to "fix" her voice. Also, she's donating ALL of the profits from her song to help Japan! Isn't that reason enough? And one last thing. If you look closely at the video, you can genuinely see that she's having FUN doing it! So really, please stop hating on her, because she doesn't need it.

What's the point of hating on artists? Why not just not listen to them?
That's to stand up for everyone, not just Rebecca Black.
...Or maybe it's standing up for my own sanity, not any artist. I'm not entirely sure.

I don't really see what's to hate.
I'm kinda neutral about her.

But yeah, I'm impressed that she did that.
Rebecca Black, I give you a hesitant salute.

Exactly.
Rebecca Black can't sing or act, but other then that I have no problems with her. Since she didn't write the song, and the lyrics are my main problem.

this post is a great example of how music is ruined. I wouldn't go hater on her, but this shows how bad the music industry has become.
I just sang it as they wrote it
People don't have enough talent and creativity to write their own songs, and now the music overlords who write everybody's songs don't either...
and she didn't use Autotune, those people at the recording company used it to "fix" her voice.
If their voices aren't good enough in the first place, why on earth did you hire them in the first place???
Also, she's donating ALL of the profits from her song to help Japan!
Okay, a fine gesture, but I'm afraid that Japan isn't going to get much money from her, based on the comments I've seen...

Why hate them... let me count the ways. because when I say guns 'n roses, 99% of people say "who's that?" That' why. because when I see new music, I barf from all the autotune and fake sound effects. because the people who were good once upon a time are not around because nobody knows who they are. that's why. I cry for the future of music...

People don't have enough talent and creativity to write their own songs, and now the music overlords who write everybody's songs don't either...Sorry Charlie, but this was a gift to her from her parents. They payed Ark Music Industries to put her into a music video, because she wanted to be a singer. They do everything, she just has to show up and sing what they give her.

Nah, not really.
But it does change opinions once people realize that this really isn't her at all. But i do agree, the song is amusingly horrible...

Yeah, but that's why I like Youtube. I mean, you don't have to watch the video's if you don't want to, and they have like- EVERYTHING.

If she wanted to make a song, she should've wrote it herself.

The artists in the 70's did that... And look how they turned out. Famous.

I have to say, death threats are too much, but as you can see in these replies so far, her song REALLY IS THAT BAD.
