Signatures
So, you have a sig. And your looking to make/put a new picture in it. How much work are you willing to spend on said picture? How much work do you put into signatures?
As for me, around half an hour will net me a semi-professional looking signature. When I actually care about the image. Otherwise I'll spend 10 minutes on it and call it good.

For me . . . well it changes depending on a lot of things.
That reminds me, I'm bored of my text signature ALREADY. *Goes to make picture signature*

i put little to no effort in making my signatures
usually about two to twenty (depends on if it's just a banner or a picture) minutes in ms paint
i didn't draw the picture in my signature right now, by the way
i usually do, though

Honestly, I've given up on how to put a picture in my sig, so I just get a quote that I like and use it. 
It takes about 5 minutes to think of one thats funny and sophisticated at the same time.

Spend a couple minutes making a signature relating to whatever my most recent game is, add a link, done. Usually don't spend much time on it.
