It won't go on it's mouse wheel. D:
lol not that mouse. My computer mouse. (Hooray for cheesy jokes!
)
Anyway, my mouse will NOT work. It works fine for the first 5 minutes you use it. Then it freezes and you have to unplug and replug it. Then the whole process starts over again.

About the joke, I thought you meant mouse wheel as the middle mouse wheel =p
Anyways, that happened to me before. The temperature could be causing it. Is it too cold or hot where you live? circuits could stop responding because of that (they freeze or deactivate for security reasons)

My brother has this issue. It is probably the surface your using it on. Try putting a piece of paper under it.

That could be it. If it has a trackball, try removing it and cleaning the rollers.

Go to mouse settings in the control panel
Reset the mouse
If it doesn't have that option call the troubleshooting.

Getting it fixed will cost more than buying a new one, so buy a new one.

Sometimes my mouse crashes when the computer comes out of sleep mode (Mouse is poor quality). Oldly the computer tells me to click on an icon to read more information on why it happened. But when I unplug and replug the mouse to reboot the drivers it goes away.
