Archmage's project graded, feel free to appeal anything you feel it is unfair (Still deciding whether or not to raise your script grading)

Yeah, some scripts were a bit rushed for the deadline. What scripts exactly did you find issues with?

Well, there were some unnecesary sprites, specially some buttons, which could have been made into only one sprite. But most of them are ok. Although I think I should have scored it a 9 in scripting, because I noticed one of the things I thought was wrong was actually right.

Art/Graphics 5/5

This game was done very nicely! The collaboration seems to have worked correctly. Good graphics and music make this an original and entertaining name. The scripting could have a little bit of improvement, but in overall, this game was nearly perfect!

This one has poor scripting. You should make sure to have as less sprites as posible. You could make the shurikens, the cats, the buttons, the text, and others into half the sprites and scripts. The cats have almost the same scripting so make them into one only sprite. You should really change your controls! They are hard to comprehend. And instead of having to press 0 for next level, make a sensor. The art was good! However I think I've heard that music before, and it doesn't suit much the project. Your project was fairly original, except for the ninja part. It wasn't that much entertaining, because it was hard to play and remember the controls. Also, there were very few instructions. Looking forward on next updates!

Thanks for evaluating! I was planning on posting one of my more old games, but, oh well! I love your tips on how to make the game better. I look forward to making new and improved projects!

Thanks! I am fairly confused with many problems with scripting, and I might ask around for answers, even though I'm not a New Scratcher. I am confused with how to make a block about how to 'block'. Ex. Move left, a wall blocks your way. I am fairly new at advanced scripting, and I hope to improve my accuracy soon. Again, thanks, you were a really big help!

Well doing that with buttons is a pretty bad approach for keeping things simple. If you wanted to only use 1 sprite first you would need to stamp all the buttons then track the cursors positions to see if the cursor is touching the button. This method is too unnecessarily complex and would make the project harder to work with without any noticeable benefits.
Things that I found wrong with the scripts include:
-Further reducing the number of forevers was possible
-Some random blocks were left out and there was an if/else with an empty else
-The next turn broadcast is too long and needs to be segmented
Thanks for the review Rub0Gameton

Thinking it that way, you're totally right! From the 3 things you mentioned, I did noticed the second one:

http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/benjamin2/1666820 and http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/benjamin2/1368358. Of the second one, you could be the 2000th viewer!
Also, when judging the second one, I didn't copy Thin Ice of Club Penguin as I hadn't even heard of CP.
Also, try Gravcube as well. You can get to it from my signature.

Ninja Cats - BladeFang 4 Part 1 by Shadowsonics (83%)

Greatly done! It seems you followed my suggestions! I'm surprised at how fast you updated it and fixed it! The scripting is ordered and short, the controls are now easier, and now it's very entertaining! Another MUST fix you did was that before you had to press 0 to go to the next level, but it seems now you automated it. However, I have heard the music in some game before... but at least now it suits the game. Another thing I noticed is that to make your script easier to read and find, you should merge the sprites "Word 1," "Word 2," and the second costume (and its scripts) from "Button." The first costume from "Button" and its scripts should merge with the first costume of "Button2." Its second costume should have its own sprite. And also, it would be cool if you could join both portals, as they have very similar scripting (Try using "or" blocks.) Congratulations!
EDIT: Had to edit because of a conflict with BBCode =p

This topic can be insulting to other Scratchers if they get a bad score.
