Private Projects are EASILY possible!

I'm saying this may not be good- the Scratch motto is Imagine, Program, Share. These private projects that I have learned how to make, cannot be downloaded by anyone, therefore they are "private." This goes against the Scratch motto, Imagine, Program, Share.

Private projects completely violate the share part, defeating the purpose of the motto, and parshly Scratch itself! I KNOW for a fact it works; I have tested it myself. I think this should be changed!

Do tell.

I'm glad to think that the community will always be kind and helpful, the language will always be a fun and easy way to be introduced into programming, the motto will always be: Imagine, Program, Share - Nomolos

Re: Private Projects are EASILY possible!

Scimonster can make the Scratch program crash when downloaded by someone.  Interesting idea, but hard to beta test I'd expect.  It has something to do with exponents.  Also as you said it goes against the Share part.

Oh wait, with that method you can simply remove the script before pressing the green flag.  It's all for the better I suppose.

What's your method?

Re: Private Projects are EASILY possible!

No, you can't. It's in a hidden sprite that is inaccessible after you run the code one time. The code is:
|when flag clicked|
|set (x) to (2)|
|repeat (x)|
| ||set (x) to ((x) * (x))|
| ||repeat (x)|
| || ||set (x) to ((x) * (x))|
| ||___________

Well, you can explain it here...or if you don't think it should be made public, use the Contact Us form at the bottom of every page to talk to the Scratch Team privately.  You've got me very curious  smile

If you put a semicolon in the name, IE will fail to download. Other browsers are unaffected.

There ya go. The big secret is out.

If you truly believe everything you wrote here, why did you post "I will flag you if you download this!!!!!1!!!one!!" on all of your "secret projects"? If you believe this, that makes you a hypocrite, and makes all of your flags illegitimate.

This project will self destruct in 10 seconds (after you press the green flag)
