Those books go on for way to long. Kinda turned me away, which is sad. It's a great series.

I don't like all that descriptive mambo-jambo. Can I get a medieval book that cuts to the chase please?

D: *waits in anticipation*

I'm kinda mad. all the books I'm reading are new, so I have to wait nearly a year before I can read any more.

I hear from my friend Eldest was awful. 500 pages of "YOU MUST TRAIN."
The first was ok, couldn't get past the second (seemed lousy), won't try the third.

Yay finally! Only took him 3 years longer than anticipated
I wanna read it!!!

WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!
If you want a medieval story that has a lot of description, just look up wheel of time. 15 books, each 700 pages of small font...

That's the part you should hate.

That's where the subtlety is included. Don't tell someone what to hate.
Personally I love description in a story, it adds mood, subtlety, and, well, for lack of a better word, description.

I wasn't forcing him, it was mainly a joke.
And I mean, description, but only to the point of like, Harry Potter. It makes sure you knows what's going on and the atnosphere, but lets you know whats happening without sugarcoating it into three paragraphs of stuff like "and the wispy winds gently breathed over the rolling hills, the sliver of wood waving in his hand".

Well, to each his own I guess.

WAit, you've read Peter and the Starcatchers? I thought I was the only one!
Anyway, Eragon was pretty good, and I'm probably going to try it again after I finish every single one of Aurthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes books. It'll take a while, as they are a lot to wrap your head around.

yayz. I have been waiting for quite some time. Seeing as I finshed the others at the age of 9.

That's what I thought too
Extinction is the newest book isn't it?
I don't really follow the series though

that cover looks edited... but what it may be is a fan cover for the rumored PREQUAL Chris is going to write supposedly about the fall of the Riders and Dragons. That would explain "Extinction" as in the vanshing/ killing of all dragons (apart from Galbatorix's Dragon [forget the name], the 3 eggs and Gladimer [yes, i am horrible at remembering the strange dragon names, just Sapphira and Thorn
]). that would be a great read
