3D is a gimmick


but i want it anyways because the games look cool


and if it really does ruin your eyesight that'd be cool. i've always wanted glasses

You guys are just narrow-minded. It has to do with depth, and the whole experience all together. It makes everything more realistic, and there are much better graphics.

Flying was a general term. I meant the use of it. Not something games should focus on. Cruddy gameplay doesnt make up for the fact that its "OMG 3D!!!!".

And I disagree with you on the second part. Better graphics were bound to happen. Thats normal. Realistic ties in with graphics. Depth comes from gameplay/story, NOT 3D.

I might be getting a 3DS--or an NGP. I'm going for the NGP just a little more though.

Brain: Devoid of any reason or critical thinking skills. Very ape like in size and shape

Ears: Their finely-turned ears can easily tune out facts and other opinions

Heart: There is no heart present. They run on sheer arrogance

Lungs: Nothing but hot air and critical negativity

Bowels: Filled to the top with Mountain Dew and Cheeto residue

Hands: Covered in smelling lotion.

What makes you believe this?
Have you seen the releases coming out? Paper Mario, LOZ: OOC, Kid Icarus: Uprising, Cave Story, Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance (3D get it lol), Professor Layton and the Mask of Miracle.

I can't be certain on ones I've never played, but most of those are known for their stories, whether humorous or serious.

At least we have some back up. Septimus, and this smelly kid at my school who went to E3. (Who both enjoyed it)

In what ways is it better? I mean, yay touchscreen. I had one seven years ago.

That's not why I want it.

There was so much potential when the original one was released. It just never got realized. I have owned both (comparing Origi DS to PSP 1000), and can tell you, both are great for what they offer. Sure, both has strengths and weaknessess, but the PSP was held back by sub-par games (not the experience, the games themselves) being released. I figure now the PSP has a chance at 'redemption', if you want to call it that.

They will both have tech upgrades in the end, and the PSP2/NGP sounds better to me. Also, I'm one of the non-believers of the 3D craze we are in now. I could really care less about the 3D. Making things 3D isn't an excuse to make a horrible game.

The thing is, actually, I really don't care about the 3D at all. In Japan there's already been reports that it hurts your eyes and you need to stay in one sweetspot to actually get the illusion of depth.

The only reason I MIGHT not be getting a 3DS is because I own a Game Boy Color. I don't care if those things are outdated--they're still the best!

I can't wait till sunday. I like the built in RPG in the mii plaza!
