Executable File (.exe)

If Scratch is to be taken seriously as a game design program, it needs an executable file that is automaticaly created when a project is saved. This file would allow play without the use of the Scratch website or the Scratch program. I belive this is a valid concern for those of us that take our game designing seriously.

Re: Executable File (.exe)

Download this program called BYOB3.

It can save projects as exe and app.

But Scratch isn't to be taken seriously as a game design program; it's a program that allows people of all ages to easily express their creativity through a computer program.

So, no, this is not Game Maker 9. Go there if you were looking for that. This is Scratch 1.4, where you can make anything that you want.

Re: Executable File (.exe)

Use BYOB, like Kayybee said. Scratch isn't intended to be a professional coding software of any kind. If you want something professional, you should develop using professional tools.
