Well, I just finished Orbital Showdown and so now I need to brainstorm on my next game. I've realized Country will not be that great a game and Shades of Gray is too generic (both of those are previous game ideas I had). I could have another go at each though.
So I need your help. Tell me which of these is the best or provide your own idea.
Unworded - A game where you get absolutely no help on how to play and must figure out the objective of the puzzle without a single word of instruction.
Genre: Puzzle/Mystery. Mood: Serious, mysterious.
Devil's Advocate - A gridlocked turn based fighter in which you level up, buy weapons and other upgrades and complete a quest to take revenge on the gods themselves for sending you to the Underworld.
Genre: RPG. Mood: Lighthearted.
Zombie King - Control waves of zombies and try to subdue small bands of survivors in a post-apocalyptic setting. Kind of a reverse Left-For-Dead.
Genre: Strategy. Mood: Lighthearted, comical.
Mercenary - Play as a single soldier among an army of others fighting against an opposite nation.
Genre: Shooter. Mood: Semi-serious.
Country - Reign over the kingdom of Regnum and try to become the most powerful country in the world through politics, trade, war, and other things.
Genre: Strategy.
Shades of Grey - A hydrogen bomb has been dropped on an insignificant town in the middle of the U.S. Alexander Louis, a scientist, seems to be one of the only survivors. Trapped in the wreckage of a laboratory, he must escape, gather information from the ghosts of his coworkers and discover why such a small town was bombed.
Genre: Mystery Animation. Mood: Serious.
Just vote on any of these please, or suggest your own idea. Thanks!
Just one vote please (you can change your vote if you like):
Unworded: 2.5
Devil's Advocate: 1
Zombie King: 1
Mercenary: 0
Country: 1
Shades of Grey: 3.5
Leading: Shades of Grey

or make a game about trying to advance through waves of baddies to get to something and you go through levels with different enemies

Unworded might be cool but I've seen a few games with the same premise that are impossible. Try not to make it too hard.
I'll try to make the starting controls plain enough. Figuring out the objectives is where the challenge comes in.

Shades of Grey! We need more serious games around here, and this one sounds interesting.

I guess I can take a second shot at writing the storyline for it (the first story I made was awful, that's why I scrapped it).

Right, Shades of Grey has taken the lead. Fortunately I have written a new story that I think is much better than the old one, but the idea and setting of the game is the same. If I make it I may need some voice actors for the into, or I might not. It'll depend.

It might be an interesting game. But people seem to want Unworded or Shades of Grey more. We'll see tomorrow I guess.

They all seem so epic! I'll just pick Country, so it gets a vote.

Alright, poll is up, Shades of Grey leads with 3.5, so that'll hopefully be my next project.
