I'm actually getting around to writing a song!
I've been putting it off for a while, and whenever I've tried I just come up with a riff that turns out to be stolen from another song.
This song is different however.
I started with a different approach: doing nothing at all. Then I just thought about stuff and the idea for "Ducktail" came to my mind. Ducktail is a song that is about a young, quiet autistic child (gender never specified) who is with a man (maybe an aide, or a classmate) that has a ducktail haircut. The child notices his fifties hairdo and wonders about it, yet never asks the man about his haircut. He eventually stresses over his shyness. It is implied that the child is supposed to be responding to something the man is asking him, yet the child is paying too much attention to his hair to notice.
Lyrics so far for the chorus:
EmperorEvil's band wrote:
...
Chorus:
What's up with your
Ducktail Haircut?
What's up with your face?
What is that weird emotion,
is it of rage or distaste?
(Experimental lyrics after this point::: )
Are you asking me a question?
What should I do?
Soon I'm starting out as a freshman,
Why don't I have a clue?
This implies his autisticness and being unable to read emotions.
Tell me if the experimental lines are OK, I don't really like them.
This will be an alternative power-pop song.
(Later, I found out that I didn't know what a ducktail haircut was and I was thinking of a different haircut! LOL! I'm an idiot! Still writing the song though.)

No autism in that movie.
Though the guy did have a ducktail.
