So my family is in LA right now, and as you may know, it is flooding. We have been working for an hour trying to get the water out of my uncle's house, and we have it under control for now, but it's still raining. This sucks immensely. In most places outside, the water is at least a half foot deep. We have a giant vacuum cleaner to get the water cleaned up. It's still raining, and we expect to be stuck here for a while. At least the electricity is working
. Anyone else stuck in this mess?

Yeah. This is probably the craziest thing that has happened to me in my 13 years of life!

I died in a flood.
But then our great Lord said I was unfairly killed by unfamiliar waters.
So now I'm back.

Well, we were able to get it under control, because part of the reason it flooded was that the drain in the backyard was clogged! We worked for two hours straight to try and get all the water out of the house. We were mopping it up with towels, sweeping it into the side yard, and we had this giant vacuum that really helped! The only real damage was to the carpet in one room. The rest of the area that was flooded was only tile, thank god! We did manage to get the drain unclogged, so that helped immensely!
Anyway, I'm pretty happy right now. I just woke up and looked outside and saw the sunrise! It was pretty amazing! I was expecting more clouds and more rain!

Hasn't rained here since a long time ago. But, come summer, the rain will be pouring down.

Man. We lost half our basement to a flood. You wouldn't know how annoying it is to be woken up at 3:00 in the morning and told to get a squeegee and clear the basement of water.
