Dont fake the sign, cause pretty bad things could happen. Your best bet is tell her just before you are left at school, so she cant scold you that much. Tell her something like...
"Oh mom, I forgot to tell you some bad news... i got a 30 in my math quiz/exam. Could you sign it quick? Its almost time for me to go to my science/biology/spanish/french/whatever class." Just after you leave the car or before you take the bus. Then when you come back from school tell her that if you get a better score in the next quiz, that score will be assigned to the old one instead of the 30!
You could also tell her:
"Hey mom, are you going to sign my 30 or not?"
"WHAT?? What 30?"
"The one I told you about some days ago, I bet you didnt pay attention!"
I always do that... except that I do it when I get something lower than 80, shes pretty strict. BTW, im in 7th, so if it works with my mom, it works with yours!
Always remember, lying is better than being honest! Sorry for any misgrammars/misspellings, im too lazy to reread this thing

Dang. I got a 40% once.
yikes. this forum is scaring me, I'm in middle school and my average is 75-100%. Is high school that tough?
No, high school is easy as long as you pay attention in class and do your work and maintain an unweighted 4.0 gpa unless you don't want to and end up in an okay college. Just a thought.

I never pay attention in class. I just use very good study methods.

Dude, "Jackki" is also a person, just like you, and should be treated just like you. If you're being sarcastic, sorry. It's not my problem.

Agreed. Go soup!
How unsensitive. Really tonks. Please consider other's feelings, honestly. Nobody is showing off so quit accusing and learn that some people take 70%s as a bad mark!
Maybe their parents taught them that that is a bad mark- they can't help that. That was in no way 'arrogant'. , Don't go and tell a mod to shut up and be sensitive to others- I think you are the unsensitive one. Their parents maybe, just maybe, are more strict than yours.
I can't believe some people.

+1 in some parts - so what if they're a mod, it doesn't mean you have to treat them like an angel

I think you would disagree if your future children lied to you. Your parents won't be pleased, but they value your honesty - it'll just hurt them more if they find you lying.

really
i think that doesn't make much sense considering he posted it on a topic called
"30% on a math test"
it's obvious if he was considering Jackt's situation he wouldn't have posted that for the sake of making him feel even worse (or others)
that's like when my sister says "ohhh i only got a 95% D:" when she knows I just got a 65%
it's just to try to be funny or irritate someone and the latter sure works
@ wiimaster:
are you kidding? my parents are some of the strictest i know but i know better than to be so blatantly annoying to people who aren't as "gifted" as me. sure I'm good at history but i don't prance around posting comments

Actually, I think Coolstuff was trying to say: "Wow, if I got a thirty on a math test, my parents would kill me. They get mad if I get a 78. D:"

Okay, calm down - I'm sorry I said that, but as it can be difficult to convey emotions over the internet, I can see why you might be angry. Even so, it was a mix of both sarcasm (that it was shocking, which was obviously not true) and the fact that, as Soup and Chrischb pointed out, my beliefs reflect that as a bad mark. I have set exceptionally high standards for myself, and therefore my parents have, as well, and a 78% was disappointing.
Anyways, any more rude comments in this department will be regarded as flaming and the topic will be removed/closed immediately.
