Teachers aren't stupid you know. They can pretty easily communicate to your mom what happened (through email or phone). I think they just choose to give a student the chance to redeem himself/herself by taking the responsibility to own up to their actions.
So it really is much better that way.

Your mother will find out, so she would be less mad if you just told her.
I wouldn't know what to do besides that, i never get below a 90 on my math tests. Middle school math is too easy.
If I get less than 95% my dad will kill me. So I maintain 100%

Depends on how tough your parents are. My parents just facepalm and shake their heads, then ask me what I did wrong and try to help me. If that's your situation, you'd probably be OK.
If your parents are the yelling type, you should still tell them anyways, because they're going to find out at some point or another, so do it now so you just get in trouble for failing instead of failing and lying.

I think the idea you had first is a very good idea.

you failed a math test? but you're so smart!
you should definitely try to retake it... whatever you do use the test to figure out what you did wrong.

Once I got 20% because i didnt know how to do anything on the test. Study and get 50-60% in your next test and say "well its better than the last one", she will ask "which one", "oh did i forget to tell you..."

Nah, 39 is still in the red zone. Bad advice, man.
No, turn the 3 into an 8 and the 0 into a 9. instant 89 %

Just admit it. Trust me, no matter how mean your parents may seem, they just want the best for you.

Dang. I got a 40% once.

Just tell your parents, take the consiquences, and study harder for the next math test.

If you're honest: Just tell your parents straight away, take the actions as the result of the trouble, and try harder next time.
If you're not: Tell your parents the percentage, and change the low amount into a high amount.

The best way to take forward is to just tell her. It's not worth changing 3 to an 8, and besides, your teacher would probably just phone call your mum if she doesn't receive the paper back.

Do a bunch of chores, make your mom her favorite kind of cookies, and leave the plate of cookies on her bedside table. Then leave a note by the cookies--
Dear Mom,
I just wanted to take this opportunity to brighten your day. You are the best mom anybody could hope for. I have worked hard to do all of your chores today, and you know how hard I always work. I'm happy to be so lucky as to have someone as special as you for a mother. I am happy you are so confident in me! I will always look up to you and depend on you, and I know you would never get angry with me for anything because that's the kind of mom you are.
P.S. Oh and I got a 30% on my math test.
Really, don't.

Well, good luck. Please let us know how it worked out. If you want any help with math I bet there are a ton of people on Scratch (maybe even in this Forum) that could help you out and maybe push that grade up a bit.
