Our grass starter should be a cat
Our fire as a ram/llama type thing
And our water should be a pelican or some other kind of sea bird.

I have sketches of them to upload soon

May I check something first?

About how big should the canvas be? I think it was 80x80, but Pokemon sprites are around 96x96 pixels so... yeah... I'll just make as if it's 80x80 though.

I'll try out some of the concepts.

No, it needs to fit inside one of the boxes like from the dex in the first post. Maximum size should be touching the edges in the box.


Also, don't do the starters. I still need to sketch them (I'm almost done and they look great!    )

What one would you choose? I would have to choose either Kitree or Flockwa.

I never said I couldn't use it...

I said that if you give the same sprite to two unrelated games, they make the games seem associated, when we don't want to.

I'll update the dex when we get a few more pokemon.

I like them a lot, but I think a lot of them are already real pokemon and I think variety is essential.

Like houndoom, fire dark. maybe a different second type?

Like the unova water bird, maybe change it to ghost or dragon or something?
or switch the fire and water's color and type...


But they all are pretty cute, except that flockwa's eye is lower than its beak

And what? You want me to switch the fire and waters colors? Like a red bird and a blue goat? 

And the eye lower than the beak thing- that was kind of part of the design.

i just meant type, but if you think it's fine, just keep it.

At some point today I will post the starters second stages: Feleaf, Embuck and Tsugull.

They are almost ready for me to color and scan!
