sparks, you and SSBBM could directly upload the BYOB blocks by using a password-protected page. I'll email you the password once I've gotten the page set up. (I've already emailed SSBBM about this.)?

Good idea!

Re: Welcome to the OLD local block library!

Meowmeow55, I'd completely forgotten about you I'm so sorry! I really think that you should have an account as your involvement with making BYOB block downloadable is one of my fave features on here! I actually remembered about you just after I posted the names and then wasn't sure what to do, the Sucessor has yet to show up anyway - if you drop me an email I'd be glad to give you that password!

Sci- by all means use it around the site, I plan to do the same so we can get normal scratcher privileges asap as coolstuff either didn't get my message or has just not replied.

Hey sparks, at first I noticed that I couldn't edit that, and noticed I am on that account, and that this user is too young to edit yet! LOL

I wonder how much pointless stuff we're going to have to post before this account becomes normal... Did you realise that both the word Pokemon and all the pokemon's names are the same in singular and plural form?!

Isn't that true for all Japanese words (such as 'sushi')?

Re: Welcome to the OLD local block library!

I would like to post a request for a panther block: "[word] in language [place language here]" It would be good for communicating with other people around the world in a mesh project, or it could be used in some other creative manner. It would probably be in the "control" section.

Re: Welcome to the OLD local block library!

It is a very neat idea, the only way I could think about doing it is an online dictionary with php access to word translations so that you could have a block that does something like this:

translate $String from language $String to $String

|link|
link_'http://onlinedictionary.com/result.php?'.
self readLine: 1 FromUrl: link, 'fromlangauge=', t2, 'tolanguage=', t3, 'withword=' t1.

so using the block like so

translate [spark] from language [English-uk] to [German]

reads the php file http://www.onlinedictionary.com/result.php?fromlanguage=English-ustolanguage=Germanwithword=dog

and with any luck line one of some dictionary somewhere that we could use would have "Hund" on it which can be red and reported back to the project.

Very cool, we can choose a word or entire sentance and put it in the address but the word "Hund" while appearing on the screen does NOT appear in the HTML which unfortunately is needed to read back by Panther  sad

If you are reading this, please read to the end, because if you don't you won't know what's at the end. Don't just skip to the end though otherwise you won't be able to read the middle, which is most important. Now you must be wondering why you just read all that, the reason is you may have not noticed something, read it again and see if you notice it this time  smile

Plus I am blocked from Google translate because my sister would cheat on Latin tests, LOL. But bing translate doesn't have Latin. LOLER

Oh NO! I was just translating something like that which I think WOULD work and I was translating Swahili! I will try to find it.
