Re: Pannulaa1 Vs. bannanaguy1000!

I am going to be honest about this. Don't someone flag this just because they have a temper tantrum.

Bananaguy's was not original, it was a kirby platformer. There were very sad platforms involved. The graphics were very bad also. Whatever was not ripped had no shading or anything. Plus, Kirby could fly. I just held up. It was also very very non-fun. (If that's a word) I beat it in about 10 seconds. And there were 3 levels. Final rating 0.5 out of 10.

Pannulaa's was a little bit original, but it was the ever popular platform that 3thousand plus scratchers always make. The platforms were ok, but a little weird at times. But the game was fun, however, and it had be trying to beat some darn hard levels  smile  There were like 7 levels, which isn't a lot either, but they kept me entertained for long enough. Final rating 6 out of 10.

Pannulaa gets my vote.

Re: Pannulaa1 Vs. bannanaguy1000!

*Sigh* Scratch off? I hate them now a days. People can quite because they lose. It isn't very fun.
But it was your choice to have a scratch off so I'll be honest about the games.
Bananaguy1000. I like the sprites and the idea of the game. Also a very creative/nice level select. This is one of your best games. But you can fly and the game has fairly basic scripts. It is better than most games on scratch.   I would like to see something better in the future though.  I think we can expect many great games from you in the future but this isn't one of them.
Pannulaa1. Absolutly awesome. Has great physics (exception with gravity) Gravity is better than that of bananaguy1000 but the velocity doesn't change accurately (same goes for my games) Good wall physics. I love the art and walking sprites. All drawn by yourself! And the invisible lava is extremely creative. And the levels have a very smart layout. You are one of the top scratchers.
My vote goes to Pannulaa1

Re: Pannulaa1 Vs. bannanaguy1000!

Neither of these won, they both lost.

Kirby: The level select was underwhelming, with an empty slot where there could have been a, for example, logo, ANOTHER LEVEL, or an extension of the level 3 button.
The actual game was short and boring, with infinite jumping and weak enemies.
Overall rating: 1/10

Update Recieved: I disliked the original, which lacked the use of accelerating velocity instead opting for a static speed which ended up making the game have an unpolished feel. The sequel is very similar to the original, except instead of an impossible 4th level, there is an impossible first level.

Overall Rating: 1/10

The quality of these games depresses me, it shows that the quality of games on the front page is greatly inferior to many others that get no recognition whatsoever.

Re: Pannulaa1 Vs. bannanaguy1000!

ok this is a toughie
pannulaa1: your game still had the bad grammar and despite what you have repeatedly said, you simply cannot jump from the gap to the top in level 1.
i tried it multiple times, you just keep on falling short
bananaguy1000: your game was too easy and short to be any real fun
although you didn't repeatedly use bad grammar so my vote goes to you

Mate, usually I disagree on being harsh to Scratch projects that aren't the best ever, but I have to agree.  There are projects by less known Scratchers which would deserve more notability.

I hope I don't offend either contender (though I know my remark is offensive) but it is the unfortunate truth, and don't shoot the messengers.

EDIT: Level 1 of UR is possible but you need to glitch the jump engine, which happens rather often.  Still a rather substandard game though.
