Re: Do you Quit?

I'm actually probably on more on most days in the summer. I have more time for Scratch then because I don't have school stuff.

I'm not as active as I used to be. Not to be stuck up about not getting views, but I just don't have much motivation when I work really hard on a project, advertise on the forums AND in my sig, and end up with no replies on the show and tell thread besides my most recent bump and under 10 views after 3-4 weeks.  hmm
Edit: Scratch should hold official contests (monthly maybe?) and then I'd probably have more motivation to program  big_smile

just proves my point. another post ignored.  sad

I was in year 8 last year but now that I'm in year 9 I have so much more work to get done so my scratch activity went down.

+1 Year 9 has so much homework D:

Plus, I've started getting more responsibilities at school (I'm both a Peer Mentor and an English Assistant), as well as being in two plays (Charlie and The Chocolate Factory (last half-term) and The Winter's Tale (in April) ), going on umpteen school trips (I went to London on Friday, I'm going to France tomorrow (and all next week), and I'm going to London again in a few weeks) and being more interested in cycling... Plus other extra-curriculars and stuff.

And, of course, choosing options for GCSE has been taking up my time... at my school, we can only pick two things freely, plus an ICT and (if we're set one for French) a language... Ideally, I'd have six free choices, so I can do Drama, Geography, Art, Graphics, Food Technology and Media Studies...

I really wish I had more time/energy/inspiration for project making at the moment...  hmm

@Soupoftomato - Year 9 is usually the 3rd year of high school (some areas do start high school in Year 9, though - areas with middle schools, but they're not the majority... and I'd guess there are some areas that start earlier than Year 7)... then it's Year 10 and 11, before Sixth Form (called College in some areas... 'round here, both are used) for two years (Upper and Lower Sixth or Year 12 and 13)

Oh my gosh, Year 9 at my school has gone to France today!  yikes

Offending strangers since 2010.

So, in Year 9, we get more homework?  yikes

Yep so much more i go to private so i probably get  more than the public schools  yikes

You go to private school? I thought you get less homework in private education, but at the expence of more time in school. Meh - thank God state school's are still here, but I don't think that this coalition government will put up with them much longer, which is a shame.

I might return for a little while.
