I was wondering if their was any possible way of quickly and easily changing your name to a specified name, and if it was even possible in the system. i have a pretty long name, and I originally had it because I had my old account areagle. Now that all of my projects have expanded farther than I knew possible, i would like to know if there was someway i could change my username. I already have the account made for the username I wanted, so if it is even possible at all, I could show you that I actually own the acount.

At the moment, there is no way to change your user name in Scratch without creating an entirely new account. If you wish to create a new account and delete your old one, we would be happy to help you with this.

The reason why i am troubled with creating a new account is that i have currently 8 projects on the front page, a lot of friends, a lot of people who search my username, and people who only know me as newareagle. if I changed my name, and couldn't automatically swtich my projects i would loose a lot of viewers from my work, and I like to see people enjoy my projects.

Your username is your only identity in Scratch. We want to make it difficult for people to change their identities without the cost of losing history.

I see. I have mad emy other account though which I clearly stated is actually newareagle. I use it to put demos and beta games on. That way people still know my "Game" identity.

Try using the Contact Us link at the bottom of the page. It's a direct communication to the Scratch Team.
