This is Not Normal

honestly the kids and teachers are so weird here. it's the most generic school setting- medium sized town, farmland, average number of students... but not the most common things happen

Victor is always calling kids a hoax and a fraud because they "can't prove anything." so apparently i don't exist
the most annoying thing is he's good at everything (but swimming where he was essentially drowning pfft)

my science teacher enjoys singing to kids in front of the whole house on their birthday. she sings a bit like Mariah carey

this kid tristan really can't shut up and i usually have to end up stabbing him

my phy ed teacher wore his hair in piggy-tails (yeah he's a boy)

my home room teacher is obsessed with nutrition and the first day instead of telling us about 7th grade she ranted about "healthy lunch choices"

not to mention, Mrs. Agerter the history teacher gives us candy, toys, and "faerie dust" for tests

the math room is plastered in Wisconsin state posters

and since when does the math room have a sink

Mr. Amos cartoons instead of doing paperwork

the biggest grade for gym isn't even athletic-related (yeah i'm getting an F now)

music class consists of the drums tuning and taking up the whole time

so yeah talk about weird things at your school

In my school about 90% of the 12 year olds smoke

95% of the 13 year olds smoke

100% of the 14 year olds smoke

What would you know about public school ag? [removed by moderator - please no insults]

My school is kind of fine. Some 6th grader had crack once. o_0 But that was extreme and about as bad as it has ever been.

Re: This is Not Normal

A weird thing in my school is the lunches. They've started to put Hostess cupcakes and other unhealthy deserts into our everyday lunches. Don't they care about our health at ALL? Or childhood obesity? Or Michelle Obama's speech on the organization about how to solve it? Or Jamie Oliver's food revolution???????? I'm glad I bring my own lunch.  tongue

Yes, they are.

Not in all cases.  I went to a private school for nine years, I'm going to a public school for the first time this year and I can already tell it's twice as good a school as the last one.

Allright, you got me there. But most private schools have higher than normal standards and better test results, facilities, learning programs, etc.

Every kid at my school is either a "gangsta" (pfft), a gamer or a anime fan. No kidding.

Except for the fact that all private schools go too easy on kids. XD Plus, at my public school, they all treat you like collage kids no matter what grade you are in... not as in difficulty but really how they treat you. They expect people to be more mature, and usually they are after going there. Seriously... it's such a nice school, they aren't too strict or too careless... it's just plain AWESOME compared to private school.
