Another nuclear reactor set to blow up in Japan
One of Japan's nuclear power plant's reactors blew up yesterday, and today, the Japanese government have warned of another reactor blowing up!
It doesn't seem to be as dangerous, though, as this certain reactor is filled with hydrogen. Still deadly though,as the evacuation area has been extended because of this.
Plus the death toll is expected to rise to around 10,000.
(I saw all of this news on the BBC this morning) Discuss.

What I heard it that the building that they first reactor was in blew due to excess hydrogen, and that the actual reaction core was safe, and de-pressurizing.
Now I just got on Yahoo, and saw that there is another reactor that is likely to meltdown, or come close. While it would not be on a chernobyl-like scale, it would still destroy the enviroment for miles around the reactor for years, making it unlivible.
I hope that they manage to get it contained...

The last building had a lot of pressure and the coolants cooled te radiation.
The earthquake broke the coolant.

That doesn't sound possible....what do I know?
Well....if I remember correctly, both of these were near the coastline. As in, right next to the ocean. You can guess what would happen if there was an explosion.

Also, I want to apoligize to you and whoever I offened when I said those .... words. I also want to say sorry DEARLY for Japan, I just be told one of my teachers nephews are over there.

Exactly. The plant blew because of hydrogen, which builds up when coolant is poured on the cores. After that, it doesn't take much to ignite the hydrogen gas.
