I posted a topic like this, more than a month ago...
My profile time zone is set to -05 EST, which is wrong, because I'm in france therefore +1, but whenever I try to change it ,it won't, it's always on -05 EST and it's really annoying, Please help me, admins!

Sorry about that problem Llamalover. I have been delaying it for a while. Can we pretend that all the times used on the website are SWT: "Scratch World Time"? I remember Swatch (the watch company) tried to come up with something called Internet Time.

OK, I was just wondering why it kept changing back, perhaps you should remove that feature until it's fixed (if you do fix it)

LlamaLover: They will never remove it, as scratchers use it to find a common communal time. I find it useful, and have a clock for this purpose

Me too. I like Scratch Time.

Scratch time is about 5+ hours off my time, so I never have a clue what time anything is on here.

Wel;, it will always be off by the same amount, except in rare cases. Why not just remember to add 5 hours (or whatever the amount is)?

Well, if the Scratch Team do want to have a universal scratch time, maybe they should remove the forum time option and/or post a thread explaining, or maybe take the european scratchers into consideration - it really can be confusing trying to figure out how long ago something was posted, or even how many hours off exactly the forum is. Or even just have the whole time system based on "X hours ago, the Yth of Z, 20n".

Well, I don't mean to whinge - but it's been over 5 years since I first asked this question, and I was wondering if this ever going to be changed/fixed, or is this a permanent thing?

I think it's permanent. However, on Scratch 2.0, it might be fixed.

OK. Although maybe we could have the current time in 'Scratch time' at the top of the forum homepage, or somewhere else visible? Apart from going in to the settings, checking how many hours ahead or behind Scratch Time is compared to your local time, there's no easy way of knowing what time it is here.
And I'm very impressed by the speedy reply! Thanks!
