Problem Importing Costumes

Some of my students cannot import costumes.  When anyone clicks on import, people, & any costume and then OK, nothing happens.  Any ideas?

Re: Problem Importing Costumes

Hi edsfisher,

If your students are using Scratch in your school they might not have writing rights in the Scratch costumes folders. In that case Scratch cannot write the thumbnails for its import file dialog box, but importing costumes and projects should still work if they drag the images into the Scratch window.

Does this help you any further?

I can't get GIF costumes. I just get one costume...

Re: Problem Importing Costumes

This seems to happen on some school networks.

Here is a work-around to try:
In the Costumes tab, click "Paint" to open the Paint Editor
and then click "Import" from inside the image editor to choose the image.
