Need Advice...

So, today I got a birthday party invitation from a kid at my school that I don't know very well. I mean, he rides my bus, and we've talked, but I really don't know what to do. He's sort of weird. I don't want to go much, but I'm worried his feelings might be hurt.

Don't, you'll be obliged to invite him back.

Re: Need Advice...

Say you're sorry but you really don't want to go. I do it and you just need to come to an understanding. It will feel better if you are honest instead of just not showing up.

Re: Need Advice...

Well, if you don't know him well, then just tell him you can't go.

If you become friends with him in the meantime, then go to the party, but if you don't know him too well, don't go.

The one thing I can say is that nobody, ever is weird. Man. Do you realize how much it must hurt to be called weird?

SORT OF weird. I never call him weird.

He's OK, I guess.

Re: Need Advice...

You should AT LEAST take him a small gift, even a pack of gum and a card, because, he DID invite you, and it's only polite to give him something in return, even if you don't go to the party... So, on the day of the party, give it to him, and say, "Sorry, but I can't stay for the party, bye..." make sure you sound regretful! Hope I helped! ;P

Just politely say you have plan for that day and that you're sorry, but you can't go. But he was nice enough to give you an invitation, so just be nice to him, because he was to you. And don't go accepting someone else's invitation in front of him. That's just rude.
