First of all, I know there is no way this will happen. So don't give me crud about that. We're just having a discussion on how it might work. Also, this doesn't belong in Suggestions.
So discuss what it would be like! What would the system look like, what would the controller be like, what would the games be like, what you could do with it, etc! It sure would be interesting.

It'd look kid-friendly.

I'm pointing out the fact that it's practically a Genesis controller.

That has a analogue stick and no start button.

Yea, like agscratcher said. It would look kid-friendly, and be a bit like those Leapster things, except aimed for a slightly older audience, would be more and better (and actually fun) games.
I think it would have specs similar to these:
1.6 Ghz Intel Atom 330
GMA950 integrated graphics
512MB DDR2 553 RAM
VGA video output
custom Windows CE 6-based OS
Not a powerhouse, but it would be cheap, quiet, and would do fine with the type of games that would be running on it. If you want a super-console, get a Xbox 360 or PS3.

You mean your 16 games

I'd imagine it as something like the iPad. IIRC, that Mitch Resnik (sp?) guy who leads the Lifelong Kindergarten Group (not really sure about that either, lol), once came up with a system like that for kids, an educational touchpad kinda thing.

It would be far to kid-friendly and very few fun games would appear.

I'd like it if the tail was a joystick.
