Very impressed by the game, and it's various features. The C-gear is also very neato.

Should I get it? I don't think that any of the new pokemn are good looking, and the fact that I can't stick with my old favorites, like gengar.

1.you can transfer your older pokemon to the new game kinda like migration tn hg and hh
2.the new pokemon are great and so are the graphics.

It's actually a very good game. The new Pokemon aren't bad when you find the good ones, and it has some cool features.
The only real problem I have with it is that some Pokemon take forever to evolve even once, like around level 40.

Yeah, you should.
After playing a while, you notice the small things, like when your PKMN is asleep, they move slow, and have their eyes closed. Battling takes 1/4 the time it did before. So many improvements.
But yeah, some of the PKMN are bad, but not many of them to not get it. Also, be prepared for lots of battles. Lots.

I got White and Snivy. It's pretty awesome so far. Not too easy like all the others are. I actually lost to the first gym before I got the water monkey thing. My ingame name is Moose. I'll get the friend code later.

I got White yesterday and chose Tepig.
I just finished Striaton Gym, got into an encounter with Team Plasma (did I mention that their costumes are hilarious?) at the Dreamyard, and that's how far I am in the game.
My current Pokemon team: Tepig, Pansage. (I know it's pathetic, but I got the game yesterday, so gimme credit.)

Does anyone else think that Plasma has one of the best battle themes in the game?
Just "Throh"-ing that out there. As for Castelia/Hiun City, man, that's huge. I was very impressed by Sky Arrow Bridge, I think the camera angles helped.
Now, to go and try to capture Victini....again.

15 minutes and 50 regular pokeballs later, I caught Victini.

Victini is 18 (haven't used it much)
Unfezant/Ethroi is 32
Simipour/Kiko is 27 (who knew the free monkey would be useful?)
Whirlipede/Almaldo is 25

I also have a few others hiding in my box somewhere....a bunch of underleveled ones.....ah-ha! Minccino/Cappuccino is 24 (just got and never used)
May not be overleveled in your view, but I haven't lost any battle yet.
