Dear Community members,
I'm trying to get a feeling of how much the community would be interested in creating clean new environments based on Scratch.
In my Animated Sort Library project (http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/s_federici/1624209) I designed sort of a new language by creating a full list of scripts activated by messages. Creating a new environment (something that can be done even better by using BYOB http://byob.berkeley.edu/) allows people to concentrate on a given selection of blocks we designed to them. My miniC++ project (http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/s_federici/1463982, based on BYOB) is another attempt in this direction.
What can then be confusing, is the amount of unnecessary blocks (Scratch's basic blocks) that hang around and are not useful for the environment you developed. They represent "auxiliary" blocks with respect to the "main" blocks of the new designed environment.
Wouldn't be nice and cool to be able to "hide" Scratch's basic blocks (all of them or, better, selecting which ones you want to hide)? A "hide standard blocks" in the menu (similar in spirit to "hide motor blocks") would be really nice.
And, even better, a right-click command like "set as main/auxiliary block" to put each given block in the right set, associated to a "hide/show auxiliary blocks" in the menu would be great!
I hope you will be willing to share your opinion on this

Cool! I think this would go better in suggestions though... Or is it for a mod you want to make?
