I think they need to put in mesh blocks, re-enable mesh, and bring back the old comment block in Scratch 1.5. People keep thinking about Scratch 2.0. WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO 1.5!?!?!? WE'RE STILL ON 1.4!!!!!! STOP LIVING IN THE VERY FAR-AWAY FUTURE, PEOPLE!!!

They're skipping 1.5, 1.6, 1.7, 1.8, 1.9 all together, and moving to 2.0. Oh, and this is the second topic about this I've seen, by the way.
Anyway, maybe not quite in 2.0, but maybe in a version, after they're done perfecting it, they will add mesh in with everything.

I think they're calling it Scratch 2.0 since it's a major redesign in Flash whereas the transition from 1.3 to 1.4 was only minor (a small interface change and some new blocks).

Its been recently announced that the new 2.0 will be online and the all the players will be flash based... Scratch used to be a toy you could play with when you didn't have internet access, hopefully there will be a downloadable version as well. Scratch team, if you're reading this, I really like scratch but isn't an online version a bit off the target? I have thought of an online script editor so that I can change my variables back into sliders and put them where they should be but please make a downloadable version.

1.2.3
1 = Version itself
2 = Major change
3 = Bug fix
So 2.0 is a complete recreation of Scratch, which is why it's being called "2.0" they could continue making 1.5 in Squeak and make 2.0 in Flash. Also there is another topic for 1.5 ( http://scratch.mit.edu/forums/viewtopic.php?id=18878 ).
The reason we are talking about 2.0 is because that's what the Scratch Team is currently making. 1.5 seems to have been disbanded, but I would like to see it continued as well.
